Genesis is a neuropsychiatry service operates under the umbrella of IAM: Institute of Attention and Mood.
Neuroplasticity has been in action. same neurons, larger network. Brains adapt by forming new pathways, and so does IAM. In 2026, the new dendritic branch from our original Huntsville location to Madison, Alabama, creating additional pathways to serve more communities in need. Different brains require different approaches. This new connection allows us to serve patients with greater accessibility and even more precision care.

Stephanie Blume is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and serves as Assistant Clinical Director at the Institute of Attention and Mood (IAM) in Madison, Alabama. She brings a strong academic foundation, clinical leadership experience, and a patient-centered approach to the evaluation and treatment of mood, anxiety, attention, and related neuropsychiatric conditions.

Stephanie earned her Associate Degree from the University of Cincinnati with honors, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through Saint Louis University’s accelerated program. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the University of North Alabama, graduating with honors while balancing professional responsibilities and family life.
Her clinical development includes advanced training in evidence-based psychiatric care and ongoing collaboration within a multidisciplinary medical team. Stephanie values thoughtful diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and continuity of care.

Outside of clinical practice, Stephanie maintains an active lifestyle and prioritizes her family and a healthy lifestyle. Her professional philosophy centers on helping individuals not only feel better, but function at their best, strengthen resilience, and achieve their full potential in daily life.
